Jonny Dub is an Award Winning Street Photographer FROM MANCHESTER, UK, CURRENTLY BASED IN TOKYO, JAPAN.

He SPENT MUCH OF his FORMATIVE YEARS HEAVILY INVOLVED IN MANCHESTER’S MUSIC AND ART SCENE, WHERE he COULD BE FOUND RUNNING THE CULT CLUB NIGHT HOYA:HOYA OR ORGANISING ART EVENTS LIKE SKETCH CITY, THROUGH TO BEING A RESIDENT DJ FOR THE WAREHOUSE PROJECT, member of the music collective levelz AND EVEN OPENING UP A STREET ART GALLERY SPACE IN THE CITY CENTRE.

in 2018 he relocated to japan, leaving manchester behind for a new life, and it was in tokyo that he discovered his passion for photography, particularly street photography. as far as cities go, tokyo is up there with the best for wandering the streets with a camera. a 24 hour city filled with stories waiting to be captured. from the super modern sky scrapers to the back alleys filled with salary men drinking after work, to the heritage sights, tokyo has it all, and more.

These days it is rare to find him without a camera in hand and i can often be found wandering the streets day and night looking to capture some of the city’s magic in his own unique way.
